Understanding Highlighted Times in the Booking System

Highlighted Times are the booking slots Hubhus recommends based on travel efficiency and schedule compactness. Customers see all available times, but the system surfaces the most optimal ones first.

TL;DR

Hubhus ranks slots by transit time to resources' other appointments. A slot is "good" if transit is below the absolute threshold (e.g. 15 min) OR within the relative/daily threshold of that day's best option. Near-future days get extra leniency. The system searches up to "Look max. days into future" days and stops once enough good slots are found. Enable Suggest optimal dates to also recommend dates, not just times. Add a CO₂ icon to eco-friendly slots. All settings are under Campaign settings → Booking forms → Intelligent booking.

5 key settings to understand

1

Enable highlighting

Suggest or highlight the most optimal time slots: When enabled, slots with low transit time are visually highlighted. Show all time slots when no preference exists: When multiple slots are equally efficient, all are shown so customers never see an empty calendar.

2

Transit thresholds — what counts as "good"

Absolute transit threshold: Any slot with transit below this value (e.g. 15 min) is always good. Relative transit threshold: A slot is also good if it's within this many minutes of a day's best option (e.g. if best = 12 min + relative = 10 min → up to 22 min = good). Daily threshold: Day-specific tolerance — any slot within this margin of that day's best is good. Global threshold: A cross-all-dates baseline — any slot below this value is always good.

3

Multi-day search and date suggestions

Suggest optimal dates: Hubhus searches across multiple days and suggests the best date + time combinations upfront. Look max. days into future: How far ahead to search (e.g. 14 days). Suggest different days: How many distinct dates to include (e.g. 3). The engine stops scanning once it finds enough good slots; if none qualify, it continues to find the best available.

4

Near-future prioritization

Suggest slots in near future: Prioritizes the next few working days so customers can book sooner. Transit for near-future slots: Allows slightly higher transit times for near-term slots (e.g. +30 min beyond the absolute threshold). Always suggest good transits: When enabled, Hubhus keeps searching until it finds at least one genuinely low-transit slot even if near-future options exist.

5

Per-day limits and CO₂ markers

Suggest max. on the same day: Caps suggestions per day (e.g. 1) — customers see only the best slot per day. Suggest optimal times after a date is picked: Even after a customer picks a date, the best time(s) on that day are highlighted. CO₂ markers: Add a CO₂ icon to slots with short transit, nudging customers toward low-emission choices.
