How to do it

1
Open the relevant campaign. Navigate to the campaign where you want to create the automation.
2
Go to Automations. Click on the Automations tab in the campaign menu.
3
Click New Automation. Start creating a new automation rule.
4
Name your automation. Give it a clear, descriptive name (e.g., "Send follow-up after quote").
5
Select trigger type. Choose when the automation should run (status change, field update, schedule, etc.).
6
Add conditions (optional). Define requirements that must be met for the automation to run.
7
Define actions. Specify what should happen (send email, change status, assign person, etc.).

Understanding triggers and conditions

Triggers define when an automation runs:

• When a status changes

• When a field is updated

• When a lead is created

• Based on a schedule (hourly, daily, after X minutes)

Conditions refine when the automation runs:

• Run only if a field has a specific value

• Run only if a field is empty

• Run only if assigned person exists

Common actions

Change data:

• Change lead status

• Update a field

• Assign a person

Communication:

• Send email

• Send SMS

• Send internal notification

Workflow:

• Add delay

• Create a booking

• Create related lead in another campaign

Testing your automation

1
Create a test lead. Set up a test lead in the campaign.
2
Trigger the automation. Change the field or status that should fire the rule.
3
Check the History. View the lead's history to confirm the automation fired.
4
Review automation logs. Check for fired actions or errors in the automation logs.
