Storage disks: FTP and SFTP
Storage disks connect Hubhus to an external FTP or SFTP server so you can reference files hosted on your own infrastructure. This is separate from Account files — most teams use Account files daily; storage disks are for specialised hosting needs.
TL;DR
Go to Account → Storage disks → New FTP Disk. Enter protocol (prefer SFTP), host, username, password, and optional port. Reference a remote file with @ftp_file2url[/path/file.pdf]. For logos, PDFs, and Excel models inside Hubhus, use Account files instead.
Get started in 2 steps
Connect a disk
Go to Account → Storage disks → New FTP Disk. Set protocol (SFTP recommended — encrypted), host, username, password, and port if required. Save and verify the connection.
Reference a remote file
In templates or pages, use:

When to use storage disks
- Very large files that should not live in Hubhus storage
- Files owned/updated by an external system on your FTP/SFTP server
- Compliance requirement to host files on your own infrastructure
For shared brand assets, PDFs, and Excel calculation models, use Account files — they support stable slugs, occurrences, and in-place updates.
Troubleshooting
- Verify host, username, password, and port with a standalone FTP/SFTP client
- Prefer SFTP — FTP sends credentials in plain text
- Confirm the path in
@ftp_file2url[…]matches the remote folder structure
