Can I create recurring calendar events?

Hubhus does not create repeating calendar events natively (for example “same time every week” as a series). You can still cover weekly patterns with availability settings, Busy blocks, special dates, or a recurring event in a synced Google/Outlook calendar.

TL;DR

No native recurring events in the Hubhus calendar. For a weekly booking pattern: sync a recurring event from Google/Outlook, or block/open time with Busy events, Special dates, or weekly Available hours. Advanced automation can use the Hubhus API.

Choose the right workaround

1

Need the same weekly booking in Hubhus? Create a recurring event in Google Calendar or Outlook, then sync that calendar to Hubhus. Busy external events block availability like internal Busy events.

2

Need the same weekly open hours? Set Available hours on the resource (days, time ranges, even/odd weeks) under Calendar → Settings → Resources. That is recurring availability, not a recurring event series.

3

Need to close or adjust specific periods? Use Special dates (vacations, temporary hours, close calendar) or add a Busy event on the day you want blocked — including one-off “close this slot every week” blocks you create manually.

4

Need many events created automatically? Use the Hubhus API (or an automation that calls it) to create events on a schedule. This is the advanced path when external calendar sync is not enough.

What “recurring” means in Hubhus today

  • Recurring event series (one series that spawns many calendar events) — not available inside Hubhus.
  • Recurring weekly availability — yes, via Available hours (including even/odd weeks).
  • Recurring external busy time — yes, if Google/Outlook creates the recurrence and Hubhus syncs Busy events.
  • One-off Busy / Special date — yes; use when you only need specific dates closed or adjusted.

Recommended paths by goal

  • “Book me every Tuesday 10:00” as a real appointment → create the recurrence in Outlook/Google on the synced calendar, or create each Hubhus event (manually or via API).
  • “Never book me Tuesday mornings” → Available hours, Special dates, or Busy events for those slots.
  • “Close the calendar for a season” → Special dates with Is closed = Yes (or Not bookable in booking form).

Notes for support and AI

  • Questions about “recurring”, “repeat”, “every week”, or misspellings like “calender” should get this answer — not an immediate handoff with no content.
  • Do not invent a Hubhus UI path for creating a recurring series; it does not exist.
  • Point to calendar sync and availability articles for the next concrete step.
