How do I configure related campaigns and automatic field matching?

Connect campaigns so that one customer journey can span multiple flows — e.g. Lead → Quotation → Service case → Invoice. Equivalent fields copy shared data automatically, so your team never has to re-enter the same information.

TL;DR

Go to Campaign Settings → Related campaigns. Add a related campaign and define equivalent fields (same slug or explicit mapping). Enable auto-relate to link leads automatically based on shared field values. Optionally allow auto-creation of a parent lead when a new child is created.

Go to Campaign Settings → Related campaigns in the parent campaign. Click "Add related campaign" and select the child campaign.

Define equivalent fields — fields that contain the same data in both campaigns (e.g. "Customer email" in campaign A maps to "Email" in campaign B). Fields with identical slugs are matched automatically.

Enable "Auto-relate new leads" to automatically link new child leads to existing parent leads based on shared field values (e.g. same email address). This prevents duplicate customer records across campaigns.

Optionally enable "Auto-create parent lead" — when a new lead is created in the child campaign without a matching parent, Hubhus creates one automatically and copies equivalent field values.

How auto-relate works

When a new lead is created in the child campaign, Hubhus searches the parent campaign for a lead with a matching equivalent field value (e.g. same email). If found, it links the two leads automatically.

This allows templates in child campaigns to access parent lead data via relation placeholders, and team members to navigate between related leads with one click.

Copying missing fields to child leads

Enable "Auto-copy missing fields from parent to child" to ensure that when a related child lead is created, any equivalent fields that are empty in the child are filled in from the parent. Useful for keeping address, name, and contact data in sync without manual work.

When creating leads manually

When a user manually creates a related lead (via the Relations tab on a lead), Hubhus can pre-fill equivalent field values from the parent into the new child form — reducing re-entry and errors.

Best practices: use consistent field slugs across related campaigns. Test auto-relate with a few real leads before enabling for all. Document which fields are equivalent for team onboarding.
