How do I configure when SMS/email are sent?
Hubhus has no standalone notification system — all messages are triggered by workflow logic you configure. You control timing down to the minute: send immediately, wait hours/days, restrict to business hours, or send only when specific conditions are met.
TL;DR
Messages are sent by: Automations (most flexible — supports delays, sequences, conditions), Action listeners (instant field-change reactions), Action buttons (user-triggered), or Status changes. Add delays to automations for precise timing. Use template restrictions to suppress sending when conditions aren't met.
5 ways to trigger messages
Automations (most common)
Full control: trigger on status change, field update, lead creation, or time elapsed. Add delays: "send 2 hours later", "send next morning at 09:00", "only send Monday–Friday". Build multi-step sequences with chained actions.
Action listeners (instant)
Fire immediately when a specific field changes — e.g. when a dropdown becomes "Online meeting", send confirmation SMS instantly. No delays possible. Best for real-time reactions to customer input.
Action buttons (user-triggered)
Quick-send buttons on the lead profile or calendar events let users send a specific template with one click — useful for "Send reminder", "Send follow-up", or "Send approval request" workflows requiring human confirmation.
Status changes
Status changes fire automation rules directly. When a lead enters "Accepted", an automation can immediately send a contract email. Status-based flows are the backbone of most automated customer journeys.
Template restrictions (prevent sending)
Each template can have a conditional send requirement — an @if expression that must evaluate to true. Combined with spam protection rules (max per lead, frequency limits, unsubscribe), this prevents unwanted messages.

Timing options in automations
- "Send immediately"
- "Wait X minutes / hours / days"
- "Wait until 08:00 next morning"
- "Wait until X days before event date"
- "Only send during business hours"
- "Only send Monday–Friday"
Reminders — how they work
There is no separate "reminder" system in Hubhus. Reminders are simply timed automation actions: "Wait 24 hours before event → Send reminder SMS" or "Wait 1 day after status = Delivered → Send survey". Configure them like any other automation with a time-based delay.
Disabling notifications
To stop messages from going out: turn off or delete the automation, disable the action listener, remove the action button, or set the template's send requirement to return false. Messages are only sent when a trigger explicitly fires.
