Calendar permissions: Control user access in calendars

Calendar permissions define what each user can view and do in Hubhus calendars. Configure them per user to separate read access, edit access, event access, and tool access.

TL;DR

Access: Calendar → Settings → Permissions. Click Edit on a user to set: Can see other resource calendars (which calendars are visible), Can edit calendar events (none / own / all accessible), Can reschedule own events to inaccessible resources, Can open leads from event (No / Yes / Only if attending), Can use optimization tools, and Calendar is user's start page. Use least-privilege access for safer daily operations.

4 permission groups to configure

1

Resource visibility and editing

Can see other resource calendars: controls whether the user can view calendars other than their own. Accessible resource calendars: defines which specific calendars are visible (all or selected). Can edit calendar events: none / own calendar only / all accessible calendars. Can reschedule own events to inaccessible resources: allows moving own events to resources outside normal access.

2

Access via events

Can see meetings in events: allows visibility into meetings that are otherwise outside normal access. Can open leads from event: controls lead access from event view — options: No / Yes / Only if user is attending event. The last option is a good default for field users who should only access their own leads.

3

Tools and start page

Can use calendar optimization tools: grants access to Pack, Optimize order, Gaps, and Route Planners. Calendar is user's start page: sets whether the calendar is shown on login (mobile, desktop, or both) — useful for field resources who primarily work in the calendar.

4

Recommended patterns

Dispatcher/planner: See all calendars — Edit all accessible — Open leads: Yes — Optimization tools: Yes.
Field user: See other calendars: No (or restricted list) — Edit own only — Open leads: Only if attending — Optimization tools: No.

Troubleshooting

If a user cannot edit, reschedule, or open leads from events, verify their calendar permission record first (Calendar → Settings → Permissions → Edit). If settings look correct but behavior is still restricted, review user-level permissions under Account → Users — additional access rules may apply there.
